Summary: Badly managed, but a great location and Pint.To constructively adjust my review: For the past few years I have been to the Mitre and have seen my friends being dragged behind the bar, even when they’re not on shift because management can’t create a rota that actually fulfills the need of a busy pub. Never has anyone that this happened to not complained about it afterwards because they feel pressured and guilt tripped by their managers to help out on their own night off. After two years of continuous witnessing of complaints, I feel like this has to be held publicly accountable. Pete, messaging people who are on your payroll and are my friends to beg to take a review down, is unprofessional to say the least. The Mitre is a lovely pub with a great Guiness on tap, but the management needs to be sorted and reviews need to be welcomed not intimidated against ESPECIALLY while still in the pub. Reviews are for improvements, and having staff members repeatedly ask to take a review down, shows bad management once more.

After a lot of hunting around in buckingham The Mitre has to be the best pub pub that we have foundAn old cottage style building which is very clean and tidy with a great garden and polite staff but mainly hands down the best drop of real ale I have found so farGreat stuff guys and gal'sWould definitely recommend 👌

Our first experience in the neighborhood pub, for a quick pint, was a success. Friendly staff, inclusive with young & old, students & oldies. And the beer was good.

Although the Mitre does not serve food, they allow other places to delivery which is amazing! The pub and patio is absolutely beautiful! The people and staff are friendly. They have a wide selection of beer and cider for a good price!! I highly suggest spending time to drink here, you will not be disappointed!

This is a lovely pub, with a great atmosphere.Nice bar staff, very attentive.Good selection of beers and ciders ( ratterler, Stowford press ).I love the outside garden area, huge canapé and plenty of spaces to sit.Loved that you can order drinks to your table using an app.....all around great experience and will definitely be returning next time in the area 🙂 👍

Whatever you think makes a pub great, you'll find at The Mitre!Friendly Staff? Yes! Friendly, helpful and genuine customer service.Great location. Cosy, warm feeling. I'm not a pub guy. But I LOVE this one.Oh, and they have a beautiful outdoor area too. Great for summer. Great for winter.. They have heaters! 🙂

Really attractive old pub but not only that, a great selection of ales in a friendly environment. Open fire Really adds in the winter. Not a local for me but one I would make a trip too.

Best pub in Buckingham. Canopy above the garden so you’re kept dry. Friendly, cosy feel indoors.A must visit, especially at Christmas

Range of ales wasn’t as big as I was expecting. Asked if we could sit inside and was told there was no space ( even though there were lots of tables free inside throughout our stay).We were told that we only had 30 minutes left at our table outside even though there was lots of other tables of the same size free and we found we could have booked a table online so it wasn’t fully booked. But we decided to take our customs elsewhere.Outdoor space was nice and order website worked well

I booked a table and walked into the pub and the girl on the bar was rude and short. It was my sons 18th and unknown to us another member of the family had booked another table. They didn’t seat us together or remotely near. it us really put me off this establishment and it won’t be recommending it to anybody be else.If you work in a service industry don’t be short and rude to people.It’s Simple disappointed!

Excellent evening, great set up with the ‘tent’ in the garden. Slick app, fast service and good staff. Might want to adjust how the app presents the drinks though, running joke of each person joining the group ordering a round of half pints didn’t grow old

Outstanding. Amazing pub. Amazing ale on tap. Friendly atmosphere. Garden is absolutely beautiful. Order drinks using QR code on table. Excellent Covid setup in place. You won't find a better pub in Buckinghamshire

I can't really give a fair review here, but I can say they are extremely Covid secure and are not serving food at the moment. The staff are very professional and the garden is well maintained.

Went there Saturday night to see a local band called The Cantells .... great atmosphere , beautiful garden to sit and listen to the band. Would definitely recommend as a lovely pub to visit 😊

Hands down the best pub in Buckingham. Old, characterful and authentic - it boasts a superior range of ever changing beers and a friendly atmosphere. live music is frequently a feature, it's also a cosy spot to watch a myriad of sports as well. Look out for the new beer garden!
